The Moorish Science Temple of America, Inc. No. 5's Grand Sheik, is the Chief Minister of the Temple.  The Grand Sheik of Temple No. 5 shall be the local representative of the Moorish Science Temple of America and the National Grand Sheik, Brother R. Jones-Bey. The Grand Sheik of Subordinate Temple No. 5 shall also preside over the Muftis of Subordinate Temple No. 5 (Official Security Detail of the Moorish Science Temple) as the Commanding Officer.  The Grand Sheik shall have the authority to enforce laws and establish laws within the Temple.  The Grand Sheik shall also oversee the operations of all sub organizations and auxiliaries within the Temple.
